400 Days and Counting

Today, I looked at my calendar and realized that in 400 short days I will be retiring! 400 days! Wow!

Now the real work begins. I have a lot to accomplish in 400 days. I have three goals to achieve before I walk away from a full-time job. First, I need to get healthier. Yeah, some of that means I need to lose weight; but, it’s more than that. I need to get in shape so I can explore all the places I plan to visit. Second, I need to budget, budget, budget. Well, I’ve had a budget for a while, but now I need to stick to it. This has been made somewhat complicated by the fact that for the past few months, I’ve had two extra mouths to feed. And last, I need to get rid of a lot of crap. Mine and my parents’. Hopefully, by this time next week, I can begin resolving the issue of getting rid of my parents’ stuff. Fingers crossed, my dad’s estate court date has been set.

Over the next year plus, I will be documenting my successes towards reaching the three goals above. Check back periodically to see how I’m doing.
